All About Effort

My name is Devin Brantley. I believe in putting in effort. I have big dreams and I want to do many great things in my life. Without putting enough effort in reaching my goals I will never turn them into reality. I firmly believe that hard work is the key to achieving my goals and realizing my dreams. Whether it's trying to get good grades, becoming better at sports, or working out. I know how important putting effort in is because I know what happens when you don't. Last year I wanted to play basketball for the varsity team, but I didn't put enough effort in my craft to get better. I got left in the dust because I stayed the same while everyone else got better. that is how important effort is to me. In school I've learned that putting in effort gets me better grades and better chances to get into a good college. Nothing ever comes easy in life, so you have to put in effort in everything you do. If you don't you will get left behind like I did. I believe that if you don't put effort in something, you don't really want it. And I also believe that if there is something you want to do that doesn't require you to put effort in then It's not worth fighting for or pursuing. In all aspects of my life, I am a firm believer that putting in effort is the foundation of success and fulfillment. It is a value I hold close to my heart and one that continues to drive me towards my aspirations and objectives.

Project Proposal

 I choose the video commercial for my campaign because I think people will enjoy it and be more interested. A campaign would be nothing if it doesn't have any backing and support. I personally would like to watch a video because I'm so used to watching videos myself, much like many other kids my age. we are in an age where people like to watch rather then read. The video will be have a bunch of motivational quotes on reading and the benefits. The video will most likely be in montage form. It would be recognizable as a youtube short, ig reel, or tiktok. This form of short motivational content has become very popular and trendy among young men like myself. I  will add bodybuilders and strong/influential men in the background of the video to get rid of the books are girly stigma. Because knowledge is power and shouldn't be viewed in a negative manner. Literacy Project Reflection

      My project was creating a Youtube video about how great reading is and the successful people who read themselves. My video is about 40 seconds long and it shows influential men who all read. Some of them have written books themselves. I wanted to paint the picture that reading was for everybody especially the big macho guys like Lebron and The Rock. Reading shouldn't be limited on your outwardly appearances, that's what I wanted to portray. I chose the Video because it takes the least amount of time from people.     In my video, I had two parts. the first part was quotes and there were two of them, one in the beginning and one near the end. The second part o the video was the pictures. I chose 6 men that were looked at as strong. The following were Andrew Tate, Dwayne Johnson, Lebron James, David Goggins, Michael Jordan, and for old times sake Percy Jackson. Course Reflection

     I signed up because my counselor told me it was a good class to take. I hadn’t looked into the class that much and just agreed to take it. I didn’t have any expectations really, because I just want school to end, but it was a good class. I had fun even though I didn’t try as much as I should have.      My favorite novel was The Art of Racing In the Rain. It was my favorite for one reason, cars. I love cars and this book was about racing. Not only racing on the track, but racing on the track of life as well. I also loved how good of a driver Denny was, it was inspiring and I too want to be as good of a driver as him. I also liked how Enzo was named after the founder of Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari.
