Narrators

One of my favorite narrators are Percy Jackson from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson. Percy is one of the few choices I have because I couldn’t recall any other narrators. But from what I remember, Percy is a brave young man and was always ready. Even though he is a demigod and had superpowers, he is still a teenager like me. Which makes him relatable, because he still faces the problems any normal teenager would face. The novel is about Percy Jackson who is the son of the Greek god Poseidon finding the stolen Lightning bolt of Zeus. He is accused of stealing of stealing it so he must find it to clear his name and stop a war from happening. With his two friends he travels all around the country and more fighting monsters and clearing puzzles to prevent catastrophe. This narration is my favorite because Percy Jackson was one of my favorite novels and one of the only ones I read free willingly. The stories of Percy Jackson are like no other and that is what peaked my interest. Hopefully...

MP book review

Devin Brantley  Mr. Davidson Contemporary Literature  15 September 2023 MP Book Review  In Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour bookstore we follow a young man by the name of Clay Hannon, who gets laid off from his job during the economic drop in 2008. While wandering the streets of San Francisco he stumbles across a bookstore; Mr. Penumbra’s 24-hour bookstore. After a brief interview on what’s his favorite book, he’s the new night shift clerk. Much to Clay’s surprise, he was no ordinary clerk at an ordinary bookstore. Mr. Penumbra’s bookstore holds many secrets such as the books known as the “waybacklist” and the secret cult that is responsible for those books. Before realizing the truth he was already knee deep into the mysteries of the bookstore with the help of his friends. Now with his friends and all the people he meets along the way, he attempts to solve the secret to immortality which the cult has been searching for 500 years.  I really liked how the Author made Cla...

Literacy Project Reflection

My project was creating a Youtube video about how great reading is and the successful people who read themselves. My video is about 40 seconds long and it shows influential men who all read. Some of them have written books themselves. I wanted to paint the picture that reading was for everybody especially the big macho guys like Lebron and The Rock. Reading shouldn't be limited on your outwardly appearances, that's what I wanted to portray. I chose the Video because it takes the least amount of time from people.     In my video, I had two parts. the first part was quotes and there were two of them, one in the beginning and one near the end. The second part o the video was the pictures. I chose 6 men that were looked at as strong. The following were Andrew Tate, Dwayne Johnson, Lebron James, David Goggins, Michael Jordan, and for old times sake Percy Jackson. And I had a little background music to keep the flow up.     In my opinion the video is p...

Project Proposal

I choose the video commercial for my campaign because I think people will enjoy it and be more interested. A campaign would be nothing if it doesn't have any backing and support. I personally would like to watch a video because I'm so used to watching videos myself, much like many other kids my age. we are in an age where people like to watch rather then read. The video will be have a bunch of motivational quotes on reading and the benefits. The video will most likely be in montage form. It would be recognizable as a youtube short, ig reel, or tiktok. This form of short motivational content has become very popular and trendy among young men like myself. I  will add bodybuilders and strong/influential men in the background of the video to get rid of the books are girly stigma. Because knowledge is power and shouldn't be viewed in a negative manner. I have some experience in editing so the editing will be fast tempo and clean. The video will be on youtube.
